But I can only get 2.4 GHZ to broadcast. Not the 5 GHZ. I don’t have a 2.4 hotspot to join but if I enter a value there as client on 2.4ghz and enable it, I would also lose the 2.4ghz access point.
I added two networks on 2.4ghz access point. Is this how you get the combined wired and wireless sources to work?
The only problem is that every time I change some setting in wireless, Wlan0 would drop from speedify and sometimes do not reappear unless I do a fresh install of smoothWan.
after messing with it more, Wlan0 or xfinitywifi in my case at 5ghz now reconnects itself to speedify but only if I turn off 5ghz access point. I cannot have both hotspot and access point at the same time.
I have both att and xfinity so I will try replacing xfinitywifi with att wifi later on. The only difference is, att does not have captive portal because it’s my router. I will remove the router password and leave it open like xfinity.
